Super Easy Ways To Boost Your Immune System Naturally

Especially in times like these with coronavirus active all over the place and many people around the work locked up at home due to social distancing, it is extra important to boost your immune system and to be the healthiest version of yourself. And, even if you are not in a place affected (too much) by the coronavirus and still have the freedom to live life more or less normally, boosting your immune system is never a bad idea. Here are some super easy ways to boost your immune system naturally:

Meal planning

There are some foods that are really good for your immune system. Therefore, make sure to plan your meals to include some of these natural immune boosters: citrus fruits, red bell peppers, broccoli, garlic, ginger, spinach, yoghurt, almonds, turmeric, green tea, papaya, kiwi, poultry, sunflower seeds, or shellfish. As with everything, variety is key for having a healthy eating schedule. Just eating one of the above foods won´t be enough to boost your immune system, not even if it´s the only thing you eat.

Smoothie time

It´s time to get your blender out! Whether you are already under the weather or just want to boost your immune system to avoid falling sick, these smoothies are a great choice to start with. Dependent on which fruit you have at home or available at your store, try one of the following combinations:
– Apple, carrot & orange
– Orange & grapefruit
– Tomato
– Kale, tomato & celery
– Beet, carrot, ginger & turmeric
– Strawberry & mango
– Watermelon
– Strawberry, kiwi & mint
– Pumpkin seed
– Spinach, lettuce & kale

Get your hours of sleep

This may sound like common sense, but it is very important to get your hours of sleep in every day because it highly affects your immune system. It works best to aim for going to bed and getting up at the same time every day, so your body has a fixed schedule.

Exercise

Yep, another one that is pretty logical but especially if you are locked-up due to coronavirus these days, try to get regular exercise in. If you can leave the house, going for so little as a walk every other day is already a great way to get started, if you are really locked up, try some exercise videos from YouTube or Instagram to do homework outs.

And furthermore, to boost your immune system naturally, don´t smoke, maintain a healthy weight, don´t drink alcohol (or if you, in moderation) and make sure to avoid infection (e.g. wash your hands regularly and prepare foods the way they should be prepared).
