UV protection

Protecting your skin from the sun is always important but during pregnancy, this becomes extra important. Especially if you live in a place with strong sunshine or you are pregnant during the summer months, make sure to take some extra care of your skin when it comes to UV protection. Especially during your pregnancy, make sure to drink plenty of water and to hydrate enough. Your skin might get dehydrated faster during these months and also for your health and the baby´s health it is super important to drink enough water.


Drinking water will help you hydrate from the inside out but it is also important to hydrate and moisturize your skin from the outside. And this means, getting enough moisturizer and creams for yourself to treat your skin a little extra! Make sure to moisturize after the shower and if you can, also before going to bed to make sure your skin can recover during the night. Exfoliating is always important for your skin so you shouldn´t escape this routine during your pregnancy either. Particularly for the moisturizer to work properly, it is important that dead cells are gone, and your pores are open so make sure to exfoliate every three days to avoid the dry skin that tends to come with pregnancy.

Stretch marks

Especially if your skin is sensitive to stretch marks, you will want to take extra care of the areas where stretch marks might appear during your pregnancy such as your belly and your breasts. Get yourself a special oil or cream for stretch marks and start using it daily from the beginning of your pregnancy, even if you don´t see any signs of stretch marks yet.
